Salim and Mahira allegedly met for the first time in 2017 at the launch of a Pakistani television app, Tapmad TV.
Mahira Khan, a renowned Pakistani actress known for her roles in movies like Raees (with Shah Rukh Khan) and the TV series Humsafar (with Fawad Khan), got married on October 1st.
She tied the knot with her close friend Salim Karim in an intimate wedding ceremony held at the Pearl Continental Hotel Bhurban in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
This is not Mahira’s first marriage, as she was previously married to Ali Askari. They ended their eight-year marriage in 2015 and have a son named Azlan. Since Mahira’s wedding photos went viral, her fans have been eager to learn more about her second husband.
Who is Salim Karim?
Salim Karim, according to Pakistan’s Samaa.tv, is a wealthy businessman and a prominent figure in the entrepreneur world. He is the CEO of a digital payment startup called SimPaisa. Apart from his business ventures, Salim is also a professional DJ.

Mahira mentioned their relationship in a 2020 interview, expressing gratitude for having him in her life. Salim and Mahira’s paths crossed again in 2017 at the Tapmad TV launch. On the professional front, Mahira is currently appearing in the Pakistani TV show “Razia” alongside Mohib Mirza and Moomal Sheikh.
In work front, Mahira upcoming project is “Neelofar,” directed by Ammar Rasool. The movie will also feature Fawad Khan and Madiha Imam, although the release date has not been announced yet.
