Indian cricket team’s shining all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, secured a significant record in the second innings of the World Test Championship final.
In the final match of the WTC Final 2023 between India and Australia, the third day of the game was completed. By the end of the third day, Australia has lost four wickets in their second innings and has a lead of 296 runs against India. In this match, India’s talented all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, create the history during Aus’s second innings.
Ravindra Jadeja bowled exceptionally well
On the third day, Australia scored 123 runs in second innings while losing four wickets. Whereas, Usman Khawaja got out after scoring 13 runs, David Warner scored just 1 run before getting out, Steve Smith caught out on 34 runs in 2nd innings, and Travis Head scored 18 runs before losing his wicket. In response, Ravindra Jadeja take two wickets, while Mohammad Siraj and Umesh Yadav each took one-one wicket. Notably, Ravindra Jadeja claimed the wickets of Steve Smith and Travis Head during this innings.
Jadeja became the first Indian player to achieve this feat
After dismissing Steve Smith and Travis Head, Ravindra Jadeja created the history. He has become the leading left-arm spinner for India in terms of Test cricket wickets. In doing so, he surpassed the previous record held by Indian veteran Bishan Singh Bedi, who took 266 wickets in 67 matches. On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja now has 267 wickets in just 65 matches.
