Nirmala Sitharaman’s Daughter Wedding: It was a humble ceremony with close family and friends. No influential politicians were present at the event.
On Wednesday, Union Finance Minister Sitharaman’s daughter, Parakala Vangamayi, got married in a simple ceremony at their home in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Nest day on Thursday, the wedding pictures began circulating on social media.
Vangamayi got married in a humble ceremony with close family and friends. Whereas, no influential politicians were invited.
Nirmala Sitharaman’s daughter, Parakala Vangamayi, got married to Prateek, who is from Gujarat, following the Brahmin traditions.
The bride chose to wear a pink saree for the special occasion and paired it with a green blouse. The groom opted for a white pancha and shawl.
The wedding followed the traditional Vedic rituals of Adamaru Mutt Whereas, the seers from the mutt blessed the bride and groom.
Parakala Vangamayi is a journalist and currently works as a features writer at Mint Lounge. She has a Master’s degree in English from the University of Delhi and has also completed a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University, Boston, Massachusetts.
Sitharaman’s husband, Parakala Prabhakar, is a political economist. He has worked as a communications advisor and held an important position in the Andhra Pradesh government from July 2014 to June 2018.
He also had a well-known YouTube channel ‘Midweek Matters’, where he talks about topics concerning India’s politics, economy, and modern society.
