There will hardly be anyone who has seen and not liked the new Hindi webseries of Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti. Fans even claim that he is the ultimate winner and no one can beat him. Even they said that we will give 5 out of 5 reviews to Asur 2 webseries on Jio Cinema.
Asur 2: Taking ahead the hunt for a mastermind playing with myths and technology by killing and brainwashing people, Asur 2 progresses in the story with the pain that the characters have suffered both metaphorically and literally. With time, now the playground widens, and Shubh now uses technology to make his plans work as he plays out the Kali vs. Kalki tale from the mythology.
Asur 2: Star Performance
In season 2, Barun Sobti (Nikhil) undergoes a transformation, not only in terms of his character’s mindset but also physically. He appears more disheveled, although the change is subtle and not overly dramatic. The actor puts in a lot of effort to portray his role authentically and make it seem effortless. This makes me wonder why these actors, including the talented Siddhant Gupta from Jubilee, haven’t received recognition earlier, considering they have been in the industry for a long time.
Arshad Warsi doesn’t try too hard to portray a police officer because now he has a more significant role in this webseries. Instead, he keeps it simple, and that’s what makes it even better. Although the script becomes somewhat repetitive for his character halfway through, building up to a big moment by the end, the actor never fails to keep you engaged and invested in his performance.
Both Riddhi Dogra and Anupriya Goenka have significant roles in the story that have a meaningful impact. However, the script overlooks the fact that Dogra’s character, Nushrat, had feelings for Sobti’s character, Nikhil, and as a result, the special dynamic between them is no longer present.
Finally, someone noticed Meiyang Chang in a role that doesn’t focus on his ethnicity, skin color, or appearance. The actor takes the opportunity to showcase his talent and prove himself. Although there is still progress to be made, it is evident that he has the potential to achieve great things in the future.
