Anupam Kher, a well-known actor, revealed his new project on Instagram. He will be playing the role of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, a famous poet, philosopher, and essayist where Anupam shared this exciting news with his fans and followers, along with a sneak peek of his appearance as the short story. This movie is his 538th venture in the Bollywood industry, adding to his long and successful career.
In the old picture, Anupam wore clothes similar to what Rabindranath Tagore used to wear during the time of British rule in India. He had white hair and a long beard. Anupam looked serious and focused, gazing at the floor. The instrumental version of Rabindranath Tagore’s popular song “Sokhi, Bhabona Kahare Bole” played softly in the background.

Anupam posted the picture and wrote, “I’m thrilled to play #Gurudev #RabindranathTagore in my 538th project. Will reveal the details in due course.” Ye mere saubhagya hai ki mujhee gurudev ko parde par saakaar karne kaa saubhagya praptt hua hai. Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, a highly regarded writer and poet, achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Indian to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913. He composed the national anthems of India and Bangladesh and penned numerous songs known as Rabindra Sangeet. Tagore was not only a playwright but also a social reformer, actively contributing to the Indian Nationalist movement during the British rule in India.
Anupam Kher has a number of other movies lined up for release. One of them is a sequel anthology film called “Metro In Dino,” directed by Anurag Basu. In this film, Anupam will be sharing the screen with Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta, who play important roles. Anupam Kher will also appear in two other movie titled “The Vaccine War” and “Emergency.”
